Spencer grew up in rural McPherson Co. Kansas. Ranching and agriculture is in Spencer’s blood, as he is a 5th generation cattle rancher and a 1st generation seedstock producer. Spencer resides in McPherson Co. just outside of Lindsborg, where he graduated high school, with his wife Alyssa and his three sons Rustin, Rhett, and Jackson. Spencer and his family own and operate Double C Ranch, a purebred Charolais operation specializing in raising high performance White & Red Charolais bulls for commercial cattleman. His family is also very involved in activities like 4-H, and junior livestock shows. Spencer is also a published writer, writing for the Washington Co. News and Grass & Grain, being selected 3rd in column writing in the 2020 Kansas Press Association Awards of Excellence. Spencer is a advocate for agriculture serving on the board of the McPherson Co. Farm Bureau. Spencer enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, showing cattle, hunting, and being in the outdoors.
